Volkswagen & LG working on connected car platform



The German auto giant Volkswagen is planning to work with South Korea's electronic giant LG to develop a connected car platform. This technology will help cars to communicate with external devices.
LG said " It and Volkswagen will jointly work to develop new technologies which will allow drivers to control and monitor devices at their homes , such as lights , security systems , as well as in vehicle entertainment , remote vehicle air conditioning and other alert and recommendation systems for drivers aswell.
Other car makers are also teaming up with tech giants to develop new technologies like self driving cars
LG is also supposed to supply batteries and motors to Chevrolet which will be used in the Chevrolet Bolt electric car. Presently LG also supplies batteries and audio systems to Volkswagen.
