Volvo India dealers have started to accept the bookings for the new Volvo S90 luxury sedan whose launch is rumored to take place around September this year.
The new car would be a long awaiting replacement for the old S80 sedan, which has been on sale in the Indian market since the brand debut in India.
The new car is built on the scalable platform architecture , which is also present in the XC90 SUV.
The Volvo S90 would be powered by the 2.0 Liter, 4 cylinder twin turbo diesel engine which will be offered in the D4 (190 BHP and 400 Nm torque) and the D5 (235 BHP and 480 Nm torque)
After the launch Volvo might also bring in the Petrol engine in India.
The car will be sold by 15 Volvo dealerships in the country and Volvo plans to increase the dealer network soon.
The car is expected to launch at a price of 50 Lakh Ex Showroom Delhi.
